The Dinnerbox Series presents live comedy theatre in your favorite local restaurants continues at two venues in San Antonio: the ORIGINAL Little Italy in San Antonio with and our newest venue – The Lion & Rose (at the Rim)
Our 23rd season would not be complete without a return to this hilarious off-Broadway comedy, about Texas’ third smallest town, where the Lions Club is too liberal and Patsy Kline never dies! The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two amazing performers (Benji Regan & Damian Gillen), who use quick change artistry (both of costumes and of comic characterizations) to create a delightful satire on life in rural America. Every performance of this production has sold out over the past 7 years, so get your tickets early.

Also in the Greater Tuna Trilogy…
A Tuna Christmas – In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it’s Christmas in the third smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including hot competition in the annual lawn display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of “A Christmas Carol” is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun. A Tuna Christmas is a total delight for all seasons!
Red, White & Tuna – The much anticipated third installment in the Tuna trilogy takes the audience through another satirical ride into the hearts and minds of the polyester-clad citizens of Texas’ third smallest town. Along with Tuna’s perennial favorites, some new Tuna denizens burst into the 4th of July Tuna High School Class Reunion. This sets the stage for a show full of fireworks and fun from the land where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. It’s been several years since we left Bertha and Arles dancing at the end of A Tuna Christmas…Did the romance blossom? Has Didi Snavley received any “cosmic” communications from R.R.’s UFO? Did Stanley make his fortune in the Albuquerque taxidermy business? These and other burning questions will be asked and answered in the side-splitting spoof of life in rural America. And don’t miss The Tuna Trilogy Weekend – Coming soon, where we do Greater Tuna on Thursday, A Tuna Christmas on Friday and Red, White & Tuna on Saturday! Special discount if you purchase all three shows!
